Zermatt is car-free—and even the journey here is part of the experience. Whether you travel comfortably by train or drive to Täsch, there are many ways to get to Zermatt and to us at Bellerive. Here you’ll find everything you need to know for a relaxing trip to our hotel.

The Bellerive combines the best of both worlds: proximity to Bahnhofstrasse, the mountain railways, and restaurants—while also offering the tranquility of a retreat above the hustle and bustle.
And that is precisely what makes this place so magical:
- about a 3-minute walk to Bahnhofstrasse and the center of Zermatt
- About 5–7 minutes to the Gornergrat, Sunnegga, and Matterhorn Glacier Paradise mountain railways
- Restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and sports shops are located in the immediate vicinity

By Train
Travel comfortably by train directly to car-free Zermatt. From Visp, the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway takes you through the Valais mountains to the Zermatt train station. Trains run regularly, making your journey easy and hassle-free.
Zermatt is also easily accessible by public transportation from the airports in Zurich, Basel, Geneva, and Malpensa (Italy). If you’re traveling on the Glacier Express, you’ll arrive directly at the Zermatt train station.
Once you arrive at the station, we’ll be happy to pick you up with our Bellerive Shuttle and take you to the hotel.

By Car: Parking & Transfer
If you’re traveling by car, drive to Täsch, about 5 km before Zermatt. There, you can conveniently park at the Matterhorn Terminal right next to the train station or with a private taxi company.
From Täsch, continue on to Zermatt by shuttle train or taxi. Trains run every 20 minutes and reach Zermatt in about 12 minutes.
Once you arrive at the Zermatt train station, we’ll be happy to pick you up with our Bellerive Shuttle and take you to the hotel.
