ARRIVAL BY CAR
Zermatt is a car-free resort. Private vehicles may only drive as far as Täsch (5 km (3.1 miles) from Zermatt). The road between Täsch and Zermatt is closed to public transport.
In Täsch, there are covered car parks (1300 spaces) and open-air car parks (1800 spaces). The covered car parks also have outside parking spaces available and offer a taxi service to and from Zermatt.
Shuttle trains operated by the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) also run from Täsch every 20 minutes.
